Query Tips

Use F5 to run a query rather than the toolbar. Fast and easy.

With your mouse, Highlight portions of the Query Statement in the Query Window to run or execute just that highlighted section of your query.

New Users: Take advantage of the documentation and examples. Search for “Transact-SQL” site “msdn.microsoft.com” and then add the keyword you are interestd in, for example “SELECT”.  The examples in the documentation are often the place that can help new users the most.

For complex queries: Easy does it.  Add one thing at a time, and test each change.
